For your utmost health and safety this Sauna is;
ORGANIC * HYPOALLERGENIC *
The Sauna does not emit E.M.F. Frequencies, UV or blue light and Provides Red, Near, Mid, and Far infrared light to the body.
This heavy-hitting multitasker is designed to help you Rejuvenate Your Body, Mind, and Spirit at its core!
With the power of light therapy (phototherapy) heat therapy (sauna), and EMF protection, this sauna experience can activate the bodily processes to benefit the following
CIRCULATION AND OXYGENATION
The light particles are absorbed by cells’ mitochondria, triggering helpful biological processes and signals to reduce inflammation and stimulate blood flow, oxygenation, circulation, muscle relaxation, and the production of energy at a cellular level.
CLEANSE AND DETOX
The near infrared light creates radiant heat that raises your core body temperature by three degrees. That increase in temperature triggers your natural detox/cleansing response at a cellular level, promoting blood flow to your organs, and whole body.
MUSCLE STRESS
Infrared light and heat therapy increases circulation to muscles, which has been proven to help in the post-workout recovery process.
HORMONES
Taking a sauna even triggers your body to release natural growth hormones that can help strengthen.
IMMUNE BOOSTING
Regular sauna sessions can help you strengthen your defenses against illness. The heat of the sauna raises your body temperature, which triggers your cells’ natural immune response.
WEIGHT AND CELLULITE REDUCTION
Even while you relax during your session, your sauna gets your heart pumping, your blood moving, and your body sweating. Infrared sauna alone won’t replace exercise, but studies show that just sitting in the sauna has been shown to help lose body weight, cellulite, and mass.
STRESS REDUCTION
Relaxation is key in finding balance mentally, emotionally, and physically. Infrared light helps boost natural feel-good neurotransmitters such as serotonin and dopamine so you can have more happy days.
MENTAL PERFORMANCE
Near infrared light has a special effect on the mind. It improves the connectivity of networks in your brain and enhances your ability to process information, empowering you to tackle tasks with a renewed sense of clarity.
SKIN REJUVENATION
From cellulite to wound healing, near infrared sauna therapy can help restore a healthful glow. Regular near infrared light exposure boosts collagen and elastin, which make skin look firmer, feel plumper, and heal better.
PAIN RELIEF
Near infrared light stimulates mitochondria at a cellular level, improve circulation, oxygenation, and healing responses which help joint and muscle pain sufferers find natural relief. A study conducted with 46 chronic pain patients discovered that they experienced fewer incidences of pain, anger and depression while using infrared saunas on a weekly basis.
CARDIOVASCULAR AND LONGEVITY
A recent landmark study shows people who used a sauna were at a reduced risk of fatal heart attacks and other serious cardiovascular diseases. The American Heart Association published a study in which they found that patients with congestive heart failure who used a sauna for 15 minutes regularly, experienced fewer pre-ventricular contractions.
BIO-VIRUS ISSUES
Some physicians are prescribing Infrared Sauna for those afflicted with Spike Protein issues, addressing the misfolding of proteins by encouraging autophagy, your body’s natural clean-out process.

LIGHT SPECTRUM - INFRARED LIGHT
Although we primarily think of light in terms of the sun, fire, and artificial light, what our eyes can see is only a small part of a larger spectrum of light.
As you move from left to right on the spectrum, the wavelengths get longer. Infrared light comes just after visible light. We can’t see it, but we can feel it. Infrared light from the sun is what makes us feel warm and comfortable.
Let’s look a little closer at the types of light we get from the sun.
THE ANATOMY OF SUNLIGHT
Out of all the types of light we get from the sun, about 41% is near infrared. In the chart, you can see that the natural distribution of light trails gradually into the mid and far infrared spectrum.
Where far infrared and LED technologies use a more limited spectrum to create the sauna effect, our unique ThermaLight® spectrum mimics sunlight’s gradual curve to give you the most natural experience.
THERMALIGHT INCANDESCENT
ThermaLight® technology refers to our proprietary incandescent sauna bulbs, which combine the finest tungsten filaments, mouth-blown red-stained glass, and years of engineering to produce a full-spectrum infrared light that mimics the best of nature.
The ThermaLight® bulb has a very similar light distribution to sunlight—peaking in the optimal therapeutic wavelengths of red and near infrared light, then trailing gently into mid and far infrared. The major difference is that we’ve taken out harmful UV and blue light for your health and safety.
Our focus on near infrared isn’t just natural, it’s more comfortable. Because they heat you directly, ThermaLight® bulbs don't need to make the air in your sauna as hot. You’ll get all the benefits of heat and light therapy, but without feeling the stifling heat of traditional saunas.
All saunas have the same goal: to raise your core body temperature enough to jump-start its natural healing processes.
Traditional saunas use steam, fire, or electric heaters to make the air in the sauna hot, which eventually heats up your body from the outside in. Infrared saunas tap into the science of light to help you sweat faster and more comfortably.
Near infrared saunas
Unlike the traditional methods, near infrared (NIR) light works with your body’s biology to create radiant heat—from the inside out. By using near infrared’s shorter wavelengths in a way that mimics natural sunlight, the light penetrates deeply to raise your core temperature faster.
Near infrared saunas give you:
Far infrared saunas
There are many far infrared (FIR) saunas on the market, but these longer wavelengths are absorbed by water, which means they won’t get past the water in the surface layers of your skin. If your sauna relies primarily on FIR, it may take longer to raise your core body temperature.
Another drawback of far infrared saunas is the lack of light therapy. Our bodies don’t have receptors for far infrared light. To remedy this, some brands will add LED light therapy panels, but the combination of these approaches still doesn’t match the effectiveness of how infrared light works in nature.
The Sauna at Beyond Hair Holistic Studio provides the perfect combination of these therapeutic approaches together, to help promote relief, relaxation, and wellness.
What are the benefits of infrared sauna? - The Sauna at Beyond Hair Holistic Studio is a particular breed of full-spectrum infrared sauna focused on near infrared (NIR) therapy to give you heat and light therapy all in one. The sauna helps people with a wide range of problems including stress, pain, skin issues, and more.
Is infrared therapy safe? - Yes; the approach to infrared therapy is safe for most people. The incandescent bulbs, designed to produce broad-spectrum infrared light, have been used for people and animals for over 100 years.
Saunas are safe for almost everyone. As always, talk to your doctor before using the sauna to make sure it’s right for you. Children should not operate the sauna without proper adult supervision and approval of a healthcare provider. They should not be in the sauna longer than 1 minute per year of age (e.g. a 5-year-old’s session should not exceed five minutes). Do not use the sauna during pregnancy. If you have implants, medical devices, or take prescription medications, check with your doctor before use.
Are there side effects? - Before using the sauna, you should always consult with a doctor. During your first couple of sessions, or even after months of uneventful use, you may experience a healing reaction that can manifest as temporary physical or emotional symptoms. These may include aches and pains, fatigue, or moodiness. It is usually a mild reaction that occurs as a result of detoxing, and generally, decreasing your session duration and frequency or taking a break from the sauna for a week is sufficient to allow the body to process and get over the detox reaction, after which you can return to your normal use.
Can I use infrared therapy while pregnant or breastfeeding? - We do not recommend using the sauna while pregnant or breastfeeding unless specifically recommended by a doctor.
I have a health condition. Can I use the sauna? - Many people with health conditions can still use infrared saunas, but this is ultimately determined by your doctor. Seek their advice before using a sauna.
Can I get a sunburn/tan? - No; The full-spectrum infrared technology doesn’t include any ultraviolet (UV) light. UV light is what creates a tan in the skin.
Does infrared technology interfere with implants or medical devices? - Always consult with your doctor before using the sauna to make sure it is right for you. The sauna should not interfere with Bluetooth or RF-enabled medical devices or pacemakers. If you have metal implants, you may experience a warming sensation. If you have a chemical port, you may want to cover it with a towel. Breast implants should not be affected by the sauna. If you would like, you can cover your chest with a towel or sports bra to avoid directly heating the area.
Can infrared therapy interact with medication? - This is a great question for your doctor, and we recommend you seek their advice before using the sauna if you are on prescription medications.
Why do I feel strange after my first sauna session? - Sometimes people experience healing reactions during their first couple sauna sessions. This can include temporary moodiness, nausea, or fatigue that typically goes away right after the session. It could also be that you are dehydrated. Your body loses a lot of fluid during sauna sessions, so be sure to drink 2 glasses of water before and after. Take it easy, and if these symptoms persist, see your doctor.
What is flicker stress? - Flicker stress is the experience of tiredness, exhaustion, headaches, or even seizures caused by flickering artificial light. If you try to take a picture of your computer screen using your phone, the flickering becomes very evident. Many forms of artificial light flicker, which is stressful on our eyes and bodies. By using a Photon while you work, you can minimize the impact of technology fatigue and feel more energized the rest of your day.
How hot does the sauna get? - The ambient air temperature inside the sauna reaches up to 125 °F (52 °C). It can take up to 30 minutes to reach this temperature.
Do I need eye protection? - No. Infrared light therapy has actually shown to be beneficial for eyes. But if you have a sensitivity to light, you can use any sleep mask, towel, or dark cloth to block your eyes. We recommend you use natural materials like organic cotton, linen, etc. We suggest to not stare directly into the filament of the bulb. You can gaze around the bulb, panel or room/enclosure near the panel with their eyes open or close their eyes while facing the bulbs during their session. Many will do both.
What is Mitochondrial stimulation? - Light therapy, also known as photobiomodulation or low-level laser therapy, works with the photoreceptors in your body. Mitochondria in your cells are activated, which helps increase blood flow and oxygenation from a cellular level throughout the body.
Why is infrared better than other types of saunas? - Infrared saunas are typically more compact and energy-efficient than traditional saunas, but most of the benefits come from the near infrared (NIR) part of the spectrum. Saunas that use primarily NIR require less warmup time and create radiant heat so you sweat faster, resulting in shorter sessions. The NIR sauna heating component also has built-in light therapy, so you get more benefits.
Is this the same as red light therapy? - Red light therapy is just one part of the spectrum. Red light is used, plus near, mid, and far infrared light so you get all the benefits of heat and light therapy in one. The benefits of ThermaLight® technology extend far beyond the capabilities of red light therapy alone.
Why is the Sauna fabric hand-dyed with Turmeric? - The fabric is hand-dyed with turmeric herbs according to the tradition of Ayurvastra. It’s a very labor-intensive process intended to preserve the medicinal quality of the herbs.
Will my sauna off-gas? - No. The Sauna is GOTS-certified organic cotton covers and solid basswood frames are untreated, so the heat from the sauna will not cause any harmful chemicals or bad smells to be released into the air.
How long should I sauna? - Adults without serious health issues can start with shorter sessions of 20 minutes and work your way up as you become more comfortable. Children and those with health issues should start with short sessions and only two bulbs until they build up a tolerance. The average session length is 30 minutes, but you can use the sauna for up to 60 minutes, twice daily. Don’t rush the acclimation process, and don’t push yourself past what feels comfortable.
Should I wear clothing? - Clothing is optional. Keep in mind that most fabric will block infrared emissions and limit your light therapy benefits, so for best results we recommend using the sauna without clothes. If you would like to wear clothing, we recommend loose-fitting garments made of breathable, natural fibers like linen or cotton.
What time of day should I use the sauna? - There is no wrong time of day to use the sauna. People use it to perk up in the morning, recover after their workout, relax after a day of work, or wind down for bedtime. You’ll see the best benefits from the sauna if you create a consistent routine.
What is GOTS-certified organic cotton? - GOTS stands for the Global Organic Textile Standard, which includes benchmarks for ecological and social standards in the textile supply chain. The Sauna uses GOTS-certified cotton and canvas as a part of commitment to sustainable and fair products.
What are electromagnetic fields (EMFs)? - Aside from being the core to cell damage and making all living things ill, Electromagnetic fields are moving electrical charges in your environment. They are created by electricity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cell signals, and other natural sources like the sun.
All the EMFs in your environment are blocked from entering the sauna enclosure. The Sauna uses a combination of methods to eliminate the EMFs it would otherwise create and shield you from the EMFs created by other sources. Every electrical device produces EMFs. To reduce them requires conductive metals that can draw the currents away. The cages on the light panels, grounding mat, and shielded cords all conduct electromagnetic fields from our devices right back into the grounded outlet. The Faraday and EMF Shield take protection to the next level. Silver mesh is woven right into the fabric, which conducts electromagnetic fields from cell signals, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and more.
What is full-spectrum infrared therapy? -“Full-spectrum” infrared therapy, means you receive red light plus near, mid, and far infrared light in a proportion that reflects natural sunlight. This approach mimics the benefits of nature and optimizes your sauna experience.
How does the infrared sauna work? - The particular spectrum of infrared therapy focuses on near infrared (NIR) light, which penetrates deeply to heat you from the inside out. That means you sweat faster and the air stays cooler than in traditional saunas. Most other infrared saunas focus on far infrared (FIR) light, which is absorbed by water and doesn’t penetrate as deeply. The spectrum does include some FIR, but it is not the most efficient way to receive the benefits of sauna, which is why this sauna doesn’t emphasize this part of the spectrum.
What is photobiomodulation? - Photobiomodulation, or low-level laser therapy, is the technical term for light therapy. It uses light in the 400–1100nm range of wavelengths to stimulate cell function. This is one of the primary benefits of using primarily near infrared therapy.
